Many thanks to my wonderful husband, Bert LaBoon, for his love, encouragement, and support through the years.

Sharon Johnson, of WYFF television,
spoke of the many blessings that she receives while interviewing
and visiting classrooms.

The Golden Apple Teacher of the Year Award , was given to Helen Gillard,
from Spearman Primary School.
Helen has been a special education
teacher for forty years and certainly deserved this award!

Thank you to Christina, and her Mom, Christian, who nominated me for the
award! You two will always hold a
very special place in my heart!

The little golden apple kids who make
each day a beautiful one!

"What greater thing is there for two
human souls than to feel that they are
joined to strengthen each other,
to be at one with each other
in silent, unspeakable memories."
 --George Eliot

Thank you for the memories, Bert.

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics
and to endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the
best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child,
a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has
breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson~
