Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Look Who's In Our Room!


During the first week of school we read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin, Jr.
With vivid colors and simple, motion-filled illustrations, each letter of the alphabet is running
to the top of the coconut tree with a repeated chorus of "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Will there be enough room?"
The text is rhythmic, charming and predictable.

During the week, the book was available in the Big Book center, reading center and
listening center on a tape with Ray Charles as the narrator.
We made a class book with palm trees and the children's pictures and names on the coconut tree.


This summer I ordered a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom activity tree from Lakeshore and can't wait to use it!
