Beary Special Students

At the beginning of each school year, we learn all about our new kindergarten friends
by having a Beary Special Student of the Day. Students bring in their favorite book or small toy
and a picture of their family. We interview the child by asking questions such as : When is your birthday?
How many people are in your family? ___sisters ___ brothers. Do you have a pet? What is your favorite color,
food and things to do at school? Then, we write their answers on chart paper. Next, all students draw their friend's
picture to compile a book for the special student of the day to take home.
