3. Concepts of
Applied Educational Research
Dr. Linda Wnukowski
June 7-July 26, 2005

Course Description
A study of the methodology involved in the implementation of
behavioral research and the use of basic statistics.
Requires practical application in a research project addressing a
current issue in education.
Includes the vocabulary of research, major types of research,
statistical techniques, research problems,
the form of the research paper, and the use of technology.

During the summer months, we began the process of our research
papers.
Dr.Wnukowski taught us the specifics of deciding on our topic,
gathering information, and using technology.
I chose the topic of parent involvement in student's emergent
literacy skills because I believe
that parents are their child's most important role model.
Dr. Wnukowski was so helpful in teaching us the APA style of writing and
told
us many times,
"You're going to be fine."
I was thankful that this course was taught during the summer months because
of all the work involved.
However, with Dr. Wnukowski guidance, we finished the first three
chapters of our research papers.
She was such an inspiration to all of us!
